Experience
I have earned two master's degrees in my years of study. First a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, which I studied at the University of Minnesota, and then a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University. I am very passionate on the subject of climate change solutions, and through that have spent a lot of time teaching and tutoring in the sciences, including specific subjects like biology, physical science, chemistry, and more. I've tutored students in AP and Honors science classes, and helped students prepare for standardized tests such as the GRE and more. I have had many experiences that have enhance my knowledge and skills, as well as putting me in a good position to share with my students the ways education has made my life more interesting. I work with students towards SMART goals, which means: strategic, measurable, authentic, relevant, and timely. This approach enables my students to learn effectively and efficiently. I work with my students not only on content, but on truly learning the subject they are studying. This gives them skills they can use both now and in their future learning endeavors and throughout their lives. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, and listening to music.
